NWR7 offers a variety of academic, social, and athletic activities for students throughout the year. Listed below is a directory of some of those activities.

After School Academic Help for Middle School Students will be available Monday and Thursday afternoons. Monday and most Thursdays, the student's classroom teacher is available. Please call the middle school office for more details.
Attention Freshman! Class Dues are $15.00 before Winter Break and $20.00 after break. Support your class by paying dues on time.

Cooking Club
Cafe 7 West, Northwestern's after school cooking club will be meeting on Thursdays in conjunction with the late bus schedule. Recreational cooking is a way for students to learn about using equipment in the kitchen, following a recipe, and having fun making and eating a variety of foods. Dues are $3.00 per session, payable the day of the club meeting.

Literary Magazine
See your work published this spring! The Graffiti is looking for outstanding writers and artists. It’s time to include your writing or artwork in Northwestern’s annual literary magazine. Students can submit their original short stories, poetry, skits or haiku. We’re also looking for original artwork such as drawings and photographs. And if your work is chosen for the 2005 edition, you’ll receive a free copy of the Graffiti. Please submit all original work by March 15th to Miss Shyer (room 255), or to your English teacher.

Middle School Student Council
Tuesday afternoons. The Middle School Student Council has been formed to provide students with opportunities in leadership. Mr. Wilbur is the advisor. Interested students should sign up with him.

Theatre Program
Students are needed for backstage crews. Students interested in participating on this level should see Mr. Hayes. Try out announcemans for productions are made over the PA & monitors.

Jazz Band, Middle School
Jazz band is an established program with the band. Interested students should see Mr.Lesieur to set up an audition. See Mr. Lesieur.

Yearbook, Middle School
See Mrs. Poriss in the Middle School Office. Mondays & Study Halls. Students work to create a middle school yearbook. Students use skills of cutting, pasting, and imagination to develop the book.

Diversity Club HOPE, High School
High School Lunch Period B days. This club will bring students together to focus on respect and tolerance in the Northwestern community. Club members will plan in-house activities for students and staff. See Mrs. McQueen

Middle School Mock Trial
Playing the role of lawyers and witnesses students compete against other schools in conducting a mock court case. Mr. Miller, Monday & Tuesday until 430 Students need to secure a ride home.
