Christopher Fray

Good afternoon everyone,

As we prepare to transition to the Hybrid Learning Model on Monday, I wanted to share with you an updated calendar of Cohort Days for the remainder of Q2 and for Q3. Please note that the final day of Q2 will now be Friday, January 22nd. Laura will follow up with an email with the updated quarter and semester end dates.

As you know, we will not be administering mid-term exams so we will not run the four early release days. However, we will have two early release days to allow for professional development on Wednesday, January 20th and Thursday, January 21st. These dates will allow for one early release for Cohort A and one for Cohort B. We also have an early release day scheduled for Friday, February 12th for professional development. The Professional Development Committee will send out information about the plans which will focus on PDLP’s and opportunities for department specific work.

Thank you,

Gary

No Midterm Exams

NWR7 will NOT have midterm exams this year.  The days that were originally scheduled for midterms (January 15, 19, 20, 21) will now be instructional days for Semester One classes.  We will share more information about the schedule for these days in the near future.

Additional Senior Portrait Dates

We have added two additional Senior Portrait dates in order to accommodate Seniors who have not made an appointment to have their picture taken for the yearbook.  The additional dates are:

  • Monday, January 4th from 2:00-8:00 (Little Theater)
  • Tuesday, January 5th from 2:00-8:00 (Little Theater)

These are the final dates that we are able to offer and still be able to finalize our yearbook on time!

We ask that each student uses their unique Confirmation Code to schedule and confirm an appointment online.

Students MUST “confirm” their appointment date & time at www.prestigeportraits.com which is available to them 24/7 for their convenience.

If you have any questions, please contact Robin Wilson at rwilson@nwr7.org.

Senior Yearbook Deadlines

Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the transition to our Distance Learning Model, we have extended the deadline for seniors to submit their Senior blurbs and Senior Candids to January 15, 2021.  Please submit these items through the Class of 2021 Google Classroom page.  If you have any questions, please contact Robin Wilson at rwilson@nwr7.org

School Pictures and Red Army Shirts

School pictures and Red Army shirts have been delivered to the school.   If you would like these items before the holiday break, please email Denise Melanson (dmelanson@nwr7.org) or Donna Williams (dwilliams@nwr7.org) and come to the Main Entrance of the school next Monday, December 21st between 5:30-6:30 p.m.  to pick them up.  Otherwise, we will distribute these items to students when they return to school on Monday, January 11th.
