Senior “Paint Your Parking Spot” Event

Our first Senior “Paint Your Parking Spot” event was a success!  Many of our Seniors had the opportunity to paint their parking spots this past Sunday...and the results were incredible!  With that said, we understand that some of our Seniors were unable to participate due to conflicts in their schedule, so we have added another date!  This Sunday, October 25th from 9:00-2:00 p.m., any Senior who submitted their design form and was unable to participate last Sunday will be able to come to the school to paint their parking spots.

If a Senior is still interested in participating but is unable to make it this Sunday, we encourage them to see Mr. Bakulski or Mr. Carroll to discuss their schedule/conflicts in greater detail.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Carroll at dcarroll@nwr7.org.

Spirit Weeks: October 19th-23rd and October 26th-30th

Our high school Student Council has done a GREAT job planning our Spirit Weeks for the month of October.  We anticipate having Spirit Weeks on a more frequent basis this year, so this is just the beginning!  While we are looking at the spring for the hallway theme decorating contest, there will be plenty of fun for our students during this month’s Spirit Weeks!

Students in each cohort will enjoy all four spirit days, which have been selected by our Student Council.  The days will be: America Day, Class Color Day (12th: black, 11th: red, 10th: white, 9th: gray), Sports Team Day, and Decade Day.  Some of our students may even receive a surprise visit in class from our “Surprise Squad” with balloons, music, and a prize basket!

Class Activity Day: Saturday, October 24th

Our high school administrative team and class advisors are finalizing a plan for the Class Activity Day on Saturday, October 24th at Northwestern.  The schedule for the day is as follows:

  • 9th grade: 10:00-11:30 a.m.
  • 10th grade: 12:00-1:30 p.m.
  • 11th grade: 2:00-3:30 p.m.
  • 12th grade: 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Specific details of the event will be shared in the coming weeks!

Trick or Treat on the Hill: Saturday, October 31st

The high school Student Council will be hosting a Trick or Treat event for elementary-aged children on Saturday, October 31st from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Northwestern.  The student council members, in costumes (and masks and gloves!), will be placed in specific locations along the driveway handing out treats to the kids as their parents drive them through.
