Welcome to NWR7 Theatre
Theatre at Northwestern Regional 7 is a community where students discover their voices, take creative risks, and bring powerful stories to life. Recognized for excellence, our cast and crew have earned several Halos, Connecticut's high school theater awards. Each year, high school and middle school students work together to put on a fall play and spring musical that inspire both performers and audiences alike.

Upcoming Show: The Addams Family
NWR7 Theatre presents our spring Musical, The Addams Family, a delightfully dark musical comedy that brings everyone’s favorite spooky family to life. When Wednesday Addams falls in love with a “normal” boy, secrets spill, chaos ensues, and the Addams clan learns that love, family, and acceptance come in all forms.

Meet the Creative Team
Co-Directors: Norfolk natives John DeShazo and Ann DeCerbo have collaborated in theatre for years, fostering a community where all are welcome and students find and hone their talents on the stage and behind the scenes.
Ann is a Creative Director, Marketing & IT Strategist who supports the Little Guild, a local animal rescue, and MI Integrated Media, a media marketing firm. A former school board chairman and leader of the Botelle Elementary Theatre program, she blends creativity with strong communication skills to ensure every production runs seamlessly.
John is a woodworker, theatre and film, technician, and actoe. When he’s not on the stage he’s serving the community as Deputy Fire Marshal and member of the Norfolk school board. John has a lifelong passion for the theatre, including professional work in set design + building. His strengths in design and technical direction bring professional polish and depth to the stage.
Customer: Sue Zygmont, our extraordinarily talented customer, has been designing our costumes for the last 15 years! She has a flair for transforming thrifted and repurposed garments into stunning, imaginative costumes that ensure each character steps onto the stage fully realized and unforgettable.
Music Director: Dylan Pederson is the beloved choir teacher at NWR7. Since 2016, Dylan has shaped the musical elements of our production. Through his coaching, he transforms individual voices into a cohesive, powerful ensemble, ensuring every production resonates with wonderful musicality.
Choreographer: Kristin Mudge (Choreographer) has been dancing, performing, choreographing, and teaching for over 50 years. She’s worked with multiple dance companies, creating modern dance and performance art, and has choreographed countless student musicals in Region 7, Region 9, and Botelle School. Kristin is a certified fitness, yoga, Kripalu, and Dance for PD instructor, teaching classes focused on expression and movement.
